Set in southern Evia (Euboea), Greece’s second-largest island after Crete, venue lies just about two hours from Athens international airport yet feels wonderfully remote. Nestled along a wild stretch of the Aegean coastline, Delenia offers the perfect balance of easy access and true seclusion, where nature, sea air, and complete privacy come together in fashion.

Fly into Athens

The closest international airport is Athens International Airport. From there, Nea Styra is about a 2–2.5 hour journey depending on your route.

If your flight arrives late in the evening or you’d like time to explore, we recommend spending a night in Athens before heading to the coast. Athens has wonderful food, historic sites, and plenty of hotels near the airport or in the city center.

Please note that Villa Delenia is best accessed by ferry from Agia Marina. Ferries typically run from around 8:00 AM through the evening (approximately 6:00 PM–10:00 PM depending on the day of the week and season). If you plan to travel directly from the airport to Villa Delenia, we recommend booking a flight that arrives at Athens International Airport between about 5:00 AM and 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM (earlier in spring, autumn, and winter) to allow time to catch the ferry. Likewise, if you plan to head straight to the airport when departing, it’s best to book a flight leaving between roughly 10:00 AM and 11:00 PM. Ferry tickets cannot be booked in advance and are purchased at the port.

Rental Car/ Car Hire

The easiest way to reach Nea Styra and get around the area is by renting a car at the airport. Major international rental agencies operate directly inside the arrivals hall, including:

  • Hertz

  • Avis

  • Enterprise Rent-A-Car

  • Sixt

There are also several reliable local Greek rental companies that can be more affordable.

Make sure it has good ground clearance, as the last 2 km to the venue is a dirt road.

Ferry to Evia (optional)

To reach the island of Evia, you’ll take a short ferry from the mainland port of Agia Marina Port to Nea Styra Port.

The ferry is quick and scenic—about 30 minutes across the Aegean—and runs regularly throughout the day.

  • Traveling with a car: simply drive onto the ferry and continue driving once you arrive in Nea Styra.

  • Traveling without a car: you can board the ferry on foot and take a short taxi ride once you arrive.

From the Nea Styra port, Villa Delenia is only a short drive away.

Alternative Route (no ferry)

If you prefer to avoid the ferry, you can also drive from Athens to Evia via Chalkida Bridge.

Drive north from Athens across the Euripus Bridge near Chalkida, then follow the coastal road south to Nea Styra.

This route takes about 3–3.5 hours total, depending on traffic, and offers beautiful coastal scenery along the way.

Also please note: when you enter "villa delenia" into google maps (enter it from Nea Styra, not Athens), it takes you there BUT there is one bit to avoid, towards the end of your journey. When you get to a white cabin in the village of Elaiochori it will tell you to turn left down a very steep and narrow road - IGNORE THAT! Just keep on the 'main road' (which is also quite narrow) and drive around the church/cemetery, with it on your left, NOT on your right!

**Don’t forget to download your maps! You will lose your signal along the way.
