Ancient Styra & Drakospita

Between Nea Styra and Palaia Styra lies the site of ancient Styra, a settlement believed to date back to antiquity and associated with the wider region referenced in Homerβs Iliad.
Nearby, you can discover the enigmatic Drakospita (βDragon Housesβ), prehistoric megalithic structures built from massive stone slabs without mortar, dating back over 2,500 years. These mysterious buildings are scattered across southern Evia (Euboea) and continue to puzzle archaeologists.
Ancient Styra was also known for its seafaring people, who are thought to have contributed ships to the Greek forces during the Trojan War.
Limnionas Beach
